Nepalese Paper's handmade paper is made primarily by women, according to traditional methods, from the sustainable pruning & trimming of the Lokta Bush. Lokta is found only above 6500 ft in the Himalayan Mountains.

Gathering the trimmings of raw Lokta is a cottage industry which employs many men & women, and helps to improve the standard of living in the impoverished rural areas of Nepal.
